ORGANIC COTTON is an organic cotton yarn of the highest quality because it originates from precious varieties of extra-long staple Egyptian cotton, hand-picked and grown using methods and products that have a low impact on the environment. Organic cotton farming uses organic production systems which eliminate the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers that are toxic and persistent in the environment and in the cotton itself. The production of organic cotton is certified by third-party organisations that verify that the producers use only methods and products allowed in organic farming. ORGANIC COTTON has obtained the organic textile certification in accordance with the international Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
CAPSULE COLLECTION Paul&Shark continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a capsule collection, developed in collaboration with the South African biologist and photographer Chris Fallows who pays tribute to sharks, a symbol by which the brand is recognised throughout the world. The famous photographer has in fact spent years taking photos of sharks to raise awareness about preserving wild fauna. By taking one of his images shot in South African waters, Paul&Shark has graphically redesigned the photos theme to create an exclusive pattern for its capsule collection. Part of the proceeds from this collection will be used to support the Dyer Island Conservation Trust, a fund that safeguards the great white shark as well as other endangered marine mammals.
Aqua greens combined with pinks and turquoises invite us to celebrate summer by redesigning bermuda shorts, linen shirts and polo shirts in fresh and lightweight combinations. Unwashed materials with faded effects in the indigo theme play between the various possibilities of dyes and effects.
New proposals incorporate classic colours such as red, even in a softer version, mixed with motifs, micro-checks and jacquard. Stripes with new proportions, a mix of floral prints, melange and printed yarns. The looks become more relaxed and holiday-like in summery shades, and the garments are more casual and lightweight.
